How to Achieve Your Most Ambitious Goals | Stephen Duneier

If I were YOU

The minute I closed my eyes to take a nap one beautiful afternoon, my playlist skipped to another song, I guess the last song had finished playing, how can I not notice that? Maybe for the reason that I was already drifted to another realm and was about to be carried away completely in a deep sleep. But Here I am listening to "if I were a boy" by Beyoncé and R-Kelly. The lyrics of the song sank into my subconscious mind. I kept on wondering and thinking about the lyrics all day long. Can I completely understand nature and its processes? Can I comprehend fully the various forces of the universe? Can I predict what I will do or what others will do the next minute? Can I fathom how another individual feels or why most people do what they do at a particular point in time? I don't think so; there are some many things in life that cannot be understood. The more you think about them, the more you discover you don't know. Often times I think I do understand but over time I realized that I misunderstood.
Life and Death, Space and Time, Faith and Chance; these are the forces of the universe that man in his present being cannot and will not fully understand. They are mystery human cannot unlock. From the moment we entered this life, we are in the continuous flow of it, we measure it, we mark it and we cannot defy or disobey it. We cannot even speed it up or slow it down, Or can we? There are so many occasion where we experience the sensation that each beautiful moments seem to pass to quickly and that we wondered if we could make it linger or wait a little or felt time slow on a dull & unhappy day and wished we could speed it up a bit and make it pass quickly. This is the meaning of nature and we can't do anything about it. It takes so much to be who we are and much more to figure out what others are, and how to deal with them. We know ourselves too well that we assume others can be predicted. We might be right sometimes but most times we are mistaken. Most people think they clearly understood the truth about life and its continuous progression and can clearly predict other people and how they felt but clearly they all have no idea whatsoever, I guess we are all wired to feel that way.
If I were you, I wouldn't do that, I will be much more careful, I will do it right, I will be patient, and I will be the best of you, on and on and on. The fact still remains the same" If you were me, you will do exactly as me or much worst", if you were in my shoes, you will definitely understand.

LISTEN EVERY DAY! "I AM" affirmations for Success

Delving Deep for Inner Insights

If you've done something you're embarrassed or ashamed, unhappy or guilty about avoid just coming away from the situation and feeling bad. The following is a process you can follow that can take you from feeling bad to feeling good about yourself and the situation in a matter of minutes.
Consider a recent occurrence that gives you that sinking feeling and observe the emotions and physical sensations that come to the fore. Try not to judge the emotions and sensations or try to suppress them. Just allow them to be for a moment, and tell yourself that with or without these feelings and bodily sensations you are OK.
Ask yourself what happened, what was the outcome of that occurrence? Then ask yourself what were the thoughts, feelings, habits and behaviours that led to that outcome? A useful technique to use here is the 'Ask Why Five Times' technique. This involves asking yourself why you thought or felt what you did, and why you behaved the way you did. The idea is that you keep asking the question 'why' in different ways to get to the answers.
Some of the variations of the 'why' question may be:
· What's the reason behind me doing, thinking, feeling this way?
· What is it about this thought, feeling or behaviour (T, F or B) that appeals to me?
· What benefit am I getting from this T, F or B?
· What does this mean to me?
Avoid 'I don't know' answers as this lets you off the hook. Ask yourself 'If I were to guess what would I say?' Your best guess is based on your gut reaction and is usually right.
Don't stop until you start to delve into territory that is new for you. Then continue to ask questions. When you start to repeat the same answers you can be pretty sure you've got to the end of the questioning process.
Your aim is to uncover some of your automatic ways of being that are the deep-rooted, underlying, real reasons for your behaviour. It is also about uncovering the true reasons for any lack of fulfilment or satisfaction you may feel in life.
At that point it's about asking questions such as:
· How can I think, feel or behave differently to start to change these habits?
· What actions can I take to bring about a different result effortlessly and easily?
This exercise if carried out correctly can give you some significant insights into your motivations for doing what you do, and puts you in a position of control. When you uncover the real reasons behind your behaviour, thoughts and feelings you start to understand who you truly are. And this is the beginning of you taking control of your life.

Rewrite Your MIND | Dr. Bruce Lipton "It Takes 15 Minutes"

Think! Only You Are Responsible For Yourself

What keeps a person non-productive? Are too many people living life expecting someone to validate it, validate them?
How many people find themselves looking around to see what others are doing or have done just to see if what they are planning fits?

Some will say, "yes, I have done that, and I only end up frustrated and boxed-in." If that sounds familiar, know that a person can consciously divorce themselves from labels or being boxed-in.
Most people are notorious for stereotyping others by their given or chosen title. Honestly, know that people do not have a single title.
Many people are overbearing when pushing their style of thinking and doing on others - the box-in method. Honestly, there are various ways of accomplishing everything.
Tagging "What Do You Do?"
Hidden or Mindful Stereotyping?
People will often pin a label on others or try to box in a person by simply asking, "what do you do?" Or, asking
  • "Are you a professional speaker?"
  • "Are you an athlete?"
  • "Are you a business executive?"
  • "Are you a web developer?"
  • "Are you an entrepreneur?"
  • "Are you a marketer?"
  • "Are you a socialist?"
  • "Are you a republican or democratic?"
  • "Are you a member of the ____ country club?"
  • "Are you a/an _____ (you fill in the blank)?"
Many people find those are the types of questions that make them feel restrictive or that people are attempting to size them up?
For example, one person says, "I am a software engineer," and the other person immediately stereotypes them by replying, "You are one of those computer nerds."
As a result of stereotyping, some people may choose to let the traditional "what do you do" question go unanswered. It will not matter because the person asking or listening in will immediately assign a label based on that interaction such as strange, disrespectful, nasty, unfriendly, suspicious, weak, insignificant, hostile, nasty, low-class, impolite, dishonest, etcetera.
Who wants a label placed on them that may lead to unpopular stereotyping?

Even if a person does not want their life defined/confined in one word or two words, everyone needs to control the narrative as much as possible.
That is why people must know themselves, be aware of who they are, and believe in themselves. Plus, have the wisdom and understanding that labels are just easily changeable words, and in some settings, tags/labels can be useful.
There are different elements to everyone; why deciding on a single label is challenging. For example, a motivational type person may believe they must never be labeled or boxed-in. They may have always thought that way. How does a person like this put a single label on themselves?
Whether it holds acceptable or not, many believe that we are operating in the assignments given to us. How do we label that?

We must use our best judgment when deciding the best situation to use a particular title or label. When in doubt, remember the label we give ourselves today is an easily changeable word tomorrow.
A Sensation of Being Boxed-in, Limited?
Structured or Unstructured - Which is Most Desirable?
Living with a structured (highly-defined) or unstructured environment at home, work, or in play is tough to say with 100% certainty that one way or the other is the perfect answer. Many situations require a little bit of both, or only one or the other.
For this article, we will discuss the ramifications of creative (free-spirited) people being in a highly structured environment.
When someone says only to do a thing one specific way, be great at asking why. Either ask 'why' or accept the status quo.

For illustration, a friend took a job where they told him when to go to lunch when to go to the restroom, what he needs to do and how he needs to do it, how he should think, be, and do. We understand it was because many people can think but do not trust what they see or their ability to use the brain to make the right decision. So, management steps in and defines a structured step-by-step rule to help that set of people. Still, those rules hinder the enthusiasm.
Furthermore, working at places like that will block creativity and stifle motivation when making every effort to fit in, and that will not work. Why?
Free spirits (individualists) who should never be boxed-in, find that they work better in an unstructured environment. The unstructured setting allows a person to devote their whole self to work and produce good results. (Keep in mind that unstructured does mean the environment is unorganized, chaotic, or in disarray.)
Heard the saying, "If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down?" Does that describe a familiar feeling? If so, keep asking 'why' as often as respectfully possible.

Ever notice when one person makes demands, and another person may not feel good about what they being told to do, but do it out of respect or fear? Tell why any person should feel bullied to commit to another person's choice of actions?
Ever ask why does that happen more often than not?
  • "Why should I do that? Tell more, please."
  • "Why do you think I should go this way?"
  • "Why do you believe I should dress your way?"
  • "Why should I create this kind of business?"
Be okay with starting to ask why.
Tradition: Is it Worthwhile or Just Stuck in Time
Many times, people get stuck in tradition. Being stuck says, "this is the way we always do it, so this is the way you should do it too."
Staying real is the way that we flourish, as a world, at any level of history. Being authentic allows a person to have the vision to understand that there are many different and unique ways to do things.
Being true to oneself is the reason we can fly around the world; Alberto Santos-Dumont and the Wright Brothers broke the "rules" and asked why.
There are so many things in our lives that people tell us we can do or cannot do. We begin to conform to the opinions of others. That tends to limit our potential because our potential lies in our vision.

Who wants an action demanded of them that may lead to unwelcoming stereotyping? So, control the narrative.
Knowing, Grasping those Visions, Dreams
Our vision is what we see when closing our eyes and picturing in our thought. It is that moment of inspiration when we imagine ourselves doing something, and we are living it out in our minds. Too, we feel like we are there, and we are thinking, "Oh my goodness, this is me."
Then we will ruin it when opening up our eyes, looking around, and thinking, "Oh, that is not realistic."
Set ourselves free to be who we are. We will be a much better person, employee, entrepreneur, spouse, sibling, friend, overall person.
  • Fulfilling our potential in life is being unrealistic.
  • Fulfilling our potential in life is breaking the rules.
  • Fulfilling our potential in life is being chancy.
  • Fulfilling our potential in life is not to do what everyone else is doing and not conforming.
  • We are fulfilling our potential in life is learning how to align our decision-making and taking the actions according to the vision we see.
Release the Rebel Inside (In a right way of course)
Some of us have been a rebel all our life. A lot of it is because we do not see life the way other people see it. We question it and get in long drawn out discussion for the asking why.
It is asking why do we have to do it this way. It may get us in a lot of friendly conversations. Most of all, it helps to understand others when they take the time to explain their 'why' to us.
The more we grow in life, we will realize that we are right. Yes, we are challenging a traditional way of doing things. Plus, some people do not like anyone to challenge them.
If feeling stuck or controlled, then a person may need to begin owning being a rebel with a cause. Not in a disrespectful way. A rebel fight against something. For this reason, many people do not like the term rebel. It is okay if a person is battling against something that goes against who they are.
Many successful people I know go against any mediocrity. They fight against being typical. They fight against blending in.
They fight against doing things the way everybody else does it just because that is the way that they do it.

Be in the Know - Analysis is Essential
Be sure to do the work and researching things when in doubt. That work and research will allow having an open conversation and let others gain new insight.
If doing something for the sake of "it has always been done this way" does not fall into alignment with the vision that you have, you may choose not to do it. If being given a label (title) does not feel right or agree with you, then take steps to change that perception.
It is okay to ask why, and if still, people say that our way of doing something is wrong, keep asking why. Then go out and show them by successfully doing it the way that feels right.
Hoping this article jump-starts progression to a more successful personal and work life. Wishing everyone well.

MAGICAL MINDFULNESS IN 60 SECONDS : VERY POWERFUL BRAINWAVES !

Mindfulness and Meditation

WHAT EXACTLY IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness is not just a way of thinking about others and their state of mind, but it can also be used a form of meditation. Using Mindfulness Meditation allows you to focus on the moment, becoming aware of your senses and what you are feeling right then and there. When you are able to focus just on that particular moment, there is no need to try to interpret things or make judgments about how you feel.
You are simply present.
If you have ever studied Eckhart Tolle or other spiritual teachers, you realize that the present moment is all that actually exists. The past no longer exists, and the future has not yet come. So focusing, being mindful, of the moment, can help you relax and eliminate stress.
Think about all the time we spend planning for, or worrying about the future, thinking negative thoughts about the past, worrying about all the things we need to do - pick up the kids from school, make dinner tonight, pay the bills, etc. All those things are draining and can even be exhausting. When you are able to be mindful, you are able to put those things away, and focus your attention on the present moment, which reduces your stress and anxiety. Mindfulness meditation can be very powerful!
WHY SHOULD I MEDITATE?
For years, spiritual teachers and their students have been practicing meditation, and espousing its benefits. Now, thanks to advances in modern science and medicine, there are actually many clinical trials that scientifically back up these claims. It is amazing that for hundreds of years people have known that meditation works, but there is always a certain percentage of the population that needs to know how and why before they will believe it.
There are so many studies now that provide empirical data as to the how and why of meditation, and its effects on the body and brain. Those studies are so diverse that they need to be in a separate article on their own. But suffice to say that the overall evidence of these studies show that meditation is effective for reducing stress, anxiety, pain, depression, and even a host of "medical" conditions and disease.
WHEN AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I MEDITATE?
There is probably no such thing as too much meditation, especially if you are struggling with any of the issues previously mentioned. Studies have shown that there are certain times of day when meditation may be more effective than others. Those times are when the brain is emitting certain waves that enable it to be more receptive to suggestion and meditation. Books have been written on that topic alone, but for our purposes, for most people that time is before you go to bed, or right when you wake up in the morning. During those times your brain is emitting the proper waves and producing the proper chemical to allow the mist benefits from meditation. But as Dr. Joe Dispenza says, "There is no such thing as a bad meditation."
The best way to develop your mindfulness meditation routine is to practice, practice, practice. Do so, and you may be truly amazed with the results.

The Power of belief -- mindset and success | Eduardo Briceno

Reflection time - Ask yourself!

So every once in a while, I'd like you to ask yourself a question and delve deeper into your mind and self, in the search of your true self or your best. So here it goes:

In which area in your life are you currently compromising?

Which part of your life is not getting the amount of attention it should be right now?

And if you want to dive really deep: Why is that?

So for me, that would be not taking enough care of myself. It seems all day I'm racing around doing jobs, feeding pets and kids, cleaning them and the house (or attempting it) and generally keeping it together. By the end of the day, it still seems like my to do list isn't even half crossed off. I just keep pushing and pushing, losing my mind on the way. So the breaking points are my hands, my sleep and my attention span.

Why am I doing this? I don't actually know, I probably should be asking myself more often, because I really know better. You cannot serve others fully if your own glass is half empty. I guess I've been like that my whole life "Just get one more job done, then you won't have to do it the next day" But there was always another to-do to fill its place.

Let me know in the comments below what area in your life you could give a little more attention to.

Take it steady, look after yourselves!
